Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve thought of a question, chances are someone else has already asked it. Here are some of RENUIT’s most commonly asked questions.
Do you do both interior and exterior renovations?
The RENUIT team can handle any size of interior or exterior renovations.
We can handle all manner of interior renovations, including kitchen and bathroom renovations: our skills include framing, drywalling, mudding, tiling and other floor installations, carpentry, and more.
We also do a wide range of exterior renovations including concrete projects; building decks; installing new windows, doors, and siding; building staircases and walls; and roofing.
Can you help me find a designer/architect/engineer?
Yes. Thanks to our long history in the Comox Valley, we have built strong working relationships with various local professionals and are happy to recommend these trusted partners to our clients.
What kind of a warranty do you offer?
In addition to manufacturers’ warranties on any products we install, RENUIT Ventures Ltd. offers a one-year warranty on all its workmanship.
Are you insured?
Yes, we bring $2 million liability insurance as well as in good standing WorksafeBC insurance to all our jobs. All of our work complies with or exceeds BC Building Code standards. Whether you are in Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland or the Comox Valley Regional District, we are familiar with the various municipal codes and can guide you through the complete permit application and building inspection process.
I just have a small job I need done. Can you fit me in?
We like to stay busy, so if we have space in our schedule to take on your project, we will certainly do so. However, during our busy times you may have to wait several weeks before we can start your project.
How much say do I have in the building process?
We are happy to give you our professional advice and guidance, but ultimately our clients make the final design decisions on their own projects.
Do you work with subcontractors / subtrades?
Will I have to clean up my house or yard?
We try to minimize disruption, but renovations often require some preparation from the homeowner. Before the project starts, we will let you know what steps you should take, including putting items away in areas where the work will take place.
Sometimes, if you’re planning extensive renovations, we will advise you to get a Sea-Can storage unit to hold your furniture, etc. This allows us to be as efficient as possible on the project, which saves you time and money.
